Georg Washington – Chief Executive Officer
Georg Washington is an entrepreneurial pioneer in the IT and gaming industries. His company’s product innovations and IP are revolutionizing the casino gaming environment. He founded Synergy Blue to impact a changing gambling vertical by driving innovation, resulting in the next generation of interactive software for Tier One Gaming Manufacturers and casinos.
Focused on skill-based gaming, Georg and his team invented the HAWG® (Hybrid Arcade Wager-based Gaming) System and Games being brought to market. Offering GLI11 compliant solutions for Class II and III gambling, his team’s hybrid brainchild reimagines the gambling play experience for a new demographic: millennials.
Prior to Synergy Blue, Georg founded Synergy Information Solutions in 2001, a leading technology provider specializing in gaming and tribal gaming enterprises. Georg led the entity from startup to an award winning industry competitor, which continues to thrive to this day.
In Georg’s spare time he enjoys working and talking about taking a vacation someday.
Michael Oberberger – Operations Director
Michael Oberberger is an accomplished, visionary software and technology expert. Three decades of experience in the gaming industry have optimized extraordinary innovation to serve the casino industry, inventing and harnessing technologies to provide among other things, novel approaches to skill-based gambling.
Michael is recognized for his approaches to problem solving and adapting to changing business needs. Above all, he is a bridge between the spheres of innovative technology and profitable real world implementation.
He has developed talent for cutting edge innovation, and has been named an inventor on over one hundred industry patents and patents pending. Michael’s previous positions include: VGT- Chief Software Architect and Director of R&D; Sierra Transportation Systems- Chief Software Architect; and G2Game Design- CTO. These are in addition to 22 years of developing breakthrough gaming innovations at IGT where he served as the Senior Director of Research and Development.
In Michael’s down time, he hosts all night Star Craft marathons with his twin boys.
Michael Low – Game Production Director
Michael adds 30 years programming experience to the Synergy Blue team. He holds in-depth knowledge of software tools development, game design, graphical design, project management and server architecture. Michael is a seasoned executive level manager who has overseen internationally distributed and cross discipline teams at global organizations such as IGT, Aristocrat and Microsoft. In addition to his excellent communications and team leadership skills, his areas of specialty include: Gaming (Entertainment and Gambling), research and tools.
Two of Michael’s favorite things are playing table tennis (not ping pong) and attending the Burning Man Festival with his lovely wife.
Rick Lambright – Platform Technical Director
Rick Lambright brings over 22 years of game industry experience to Synergy Blue. Before joining Synergy Blue, Rick was CTO and co-founder of Motiga, an online game company in Bellevue, Washington, creators of the Action MOBA Gigantic. Immediately prior to co-founding Motiga Rick was Chief Architect at Gazillion Entertainment based in San Mateo, California, developer of a variety of massively-multiplayer online games including Marvel Super Hero Squad and LEGO Universe.
Rick’s game industry experience began at Starwave in 1995 as server architect and lead server programmer on the pioneering MMO Castle Infinity. After Starwave, Rick was Director of Online Technology for Humongous and Cavedog Entertainment, where he developed the networking for Total Annihilation and led the team that created the Boneyards online gaming system for GT Interactive.
Rick was subsequently VP of Internet Engineering at LithTech and Director of Online Technology at Monolith, where he was the server architect and overall lead engineer on The Matrix Online. In 2005, he co-founded Secret Lair Studios, which was acquired by Vivendi in 2006 and became Sierra Online Seattle. Rick was Technical Director at Sierra Online, during which time the studio shipped Carcassonne for Xbox Live Arcade.
When not in the office on the weekends, Rick enjoys pretending he is retired – it is Palm Springs, after all.
Amy Washington – Director of Marketing and Strategy (AKA -Unicorn)
Amy Washington oversees the spectrum of Synergy Blue’s endeavors from legal collaboration, to brand strategy, marketing and business development. With more than a decade of strategic and marketing experience, she translates big picture initiatives into concrete actions to realize the firm’s overarching mission.
Amy is responsible for all aspects of product line development and go-to-market strategy to accomplish the firm’s corporate objectives. She is the liaison with the executive team and board members and supports technical development teams to establish product road maps, meet deadlines and monitor progress. She executes marketing, public relations and advertising, plans key events, and manages all brand executions.
Prior to Synergy Blue, she handled responsibilities in IT and marketing including work as operations director at Synergy Information Solutions; regional IT business development at Applied Micro Systems (Commander/Telstra) in Melbourne, AU; and senior account management at The Marketing Department, a California based firm.
Amy enjoys following up with people and double-checking. Really, these are her very favorite things.
